Dog Training Online: Teaching Your Dog To Sit, Stay and Come!

Basic dog training course teaches dogs to sit stay and come. You will then be happier as well and you will also find that the dog training will go much easier. So when you begin make sure you have several things that are ok for your dog to chew on. Then begin your dog training by keeping all of your dogs chewing toys in one location.

The course can last several weeks depending on if your dog can pass. Many reward training enthusiasts are less enthusiastic about other methods of dog training such as the traditional leash and collar method. However the best approach to training any individual dog is often a combination of leash/collar training and reward training. Despite the differences there are some basic things in common for training all dogs. No matter why you have a dog he should at least have some very elementary dog training. No one wants a dog who isn't housebroken who runs away or into the street who won't sit come or stay when you want him to.

Obedience training is one of the best things you can do for your dog and yourself. In fact a well trained dog is by far a happier dog! Why? Because a trained dog requires much fewer restrictions so the more reliable the dog the more freedom he/she is given. Dogs are social animals and without proper training they will behave just like animals. (A dog is a pack animal. Do not ever use the electronic dog collar to punish your dog. The purpose of the electronic dog training collar is to teach the dog not to punish. If your treat is food make sure it is very small pea-sized pieces of food. Slowly move the treat above and behind your dog's head luring him into a sit position. It is not meant to turn your dog into some kind of robot who follows commands accurately and mindlessly. It is also not aimed to make your puppy into a show dog that can do tricks to amuse your friends. First most dogs will respond to their name so call them and when they look at you tell them "watch". After doing it few times the dog will associate the command with looking at you.

Hence it is extremely important to know the underlying reasons why dogs sometimes behave differently. You can teach your dog appropriate behavior. Dogs who simply bark because of activity or excitement are relatively hard to eliminate. Millions of dogs-healthy dogs-are euthanized every year.
